Hindu and Jewish Fusion Wedding at Wilder Mansion

I was so excited to capture the wedding of Laura and Romil. They had a beautiful fusion wedding with their immediate family there to celebrate with them at the Wilder Mansion in Elmhurst. The combined both parts of Laura’s Jewish faith and Romil’s Hindu faith with both a Rabbi and a Priest. It was such a joy to celebrate with them and I am so excited to share some images from their day with you!

Rainy Burr Ridge Backyard Wedding

I have known Jess since we went to high school at Stagg and was so excited when she reached out to me to photograph her wedding! They had a gorgeous backyard wedding at their gorgeous home in Burr Ridge this summer and they didn’t let a little rain stop their fun! Jess has a love of plants and was excited to take some bridal photos in front of her plant babies. I know you fellow plan lovers can relate. Succulents made their way into many of their decorations too! Bill built the gorgeous pond and waterfall where they shared their first look. We used umbrellas for some of their portraits and I was so happy I brought my full bag of them! Cute clear umbrellas are the perfect solution to a rainy wedding day! One of the couple’s dear friends Kari even made them their wedding cake! Enjoy a peek at their wedding!

Wow I can hardly believe it has been a year already since Ashley and Ben’s amazing wedding! They got married in Orland Park at Silver Lake Country Club which is one of my favorite venues. They had a gorgeous design aesthetic for their day with succulents on the tables and on their cake. The day was filled with their friends and family and they danced the night away. Winter Wedding at Tuscany Falls in Mokena

Danielle and Marty were one of the most in love couples I have ever gotten to work with. Their unique winter wedding took place just 2 days before Christmas and they had decorated for it at their ceremony and reception at Tuscany Falls in Mokena. Danielle had done some DIY projects such as a burned wood project with her and Marty's names which were very cool. The music they had selected for the day included Jacks Mannequin and Panic at the Disco, what could be better? Danielle also had a special dance with her sister after her and Marty's first dance that included big feather fans, called Sisters from the Movie "White Christmas"  Take a peek at their beautiful day full of love, rustic touches, and Christmas Cheer!

Creek Bend Nature Center Outdoor Wedding

From our first phone call I could tell what a cool laid back couple Clancy and Patrick were. They came all the way from Washington D.C. back home to have their wedding in the St.Charles area. They met during graduate school at Georgetown University and have been together ever since.

The day of their wedding we had an awful thunderstorm, things were so dark but I had a feeling that everything would clear up in time for their first look and sure enough it did. A little rain on your wedding is good luck they say. Their first look was so sweet, I think Patrick almost had some tears in his eyes when he saw Clancy who looked stunning. Her dress had this gorgeous pink tone to it, ever so subtle but just breathtaking.

Next we headed to the wedding at St. Patricks, The church was so filled with all of their family and friends who had traveled from near and far to be with them on their day. After the said the "I do's" We headed back to Creek Bend Nature Center, part of LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve so they could enjoy their cocktail hour and of course their big party. What a gorgeous setting for a wedding! Once the dancing started it seemed everyone was on the dance floor, the flower girl was dancing up a storm way into the night a long with Clancy's Grandma Lois. One of my favorite parts was when the "Call Me Maybe" song came on, Patrick was on that song singing it and dancing to it in the middle of all their friends.

After all that I snuck the two out of the reception for a few minutes to take a final nighttime shot which also allowed them to have a few minutes together just to reflect on the whole day. As a couple I see how their personalities really compliment each other and I just wish them well in this new chapter of their lives together. Congratulations Clancy and Patrick!
